OnQuizPlay, Privacy and security are priorities, and we are committed to transparency in the processing of our users' personal data. Therefore, this Privacy Policy establishes how we collect, use, and transfer information from users or other individuals who access or use our platform. By using our services, you understand that we will collect and use your personal information in the ways described in this Policy, under the norms of the 1988 Federal Constitution (article 5, LXXIX; and article 22, XXX - included by EC 115/2022), the Data Protection regulations (LGPD, Federal Law 13.709/2018), the consumer protection provisions of Federal Law 8078/1990, and other applicable norms of the Brazilian legal system.

1) What data do we collect about you and for what purpose?

QuizPlay collects and uses some of your personal data in order to provide services and improve your user experience.

1.1. Personal data provided by the data subject.

  • User-generated content through the platform, including created quizzes, comments, likes, and quiz results.

Therefore, we do not collect data on racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, political opinions, membership in a trade union or religious, philosophical or political organization, data concerning health or sex life, genetic or biometric data when linked to a natural person.

It is based on your consent that we process your personal data. Consent is the free, informed, and unequivocal expression by which you authorize QuizPlay to process your data. Thus, in accordance with the General Data Protection Law, your data will only be collected, processed, and stored with your prior and express consent. QuizPlay guarantees its users their rights as data subjects as outlined in Article 18 of the General Data Protection Law. Therefore, you can, free of charge and at any time:

  • Confirm the existence of data processing, in a simplified manner or in a clear and complete format.
  • You can access your data, requesting a legible copy in printed form or through secure and reliable electronic means.
  • Correct your information when requesting to edit, correct, or update it.
  • Limit your data when it is unnecessary, excessive, or processed in violation of the law through anonymization, blocking, or deletion.
  • Request the portability of your data through a registration data report that QuizPlay processes about you.
  • We will delete your data processed based on your consent, except in cases provided for by law.
  • Revoke your consent, thereby no longer authorizing the processing of your data.
  • Find out about the possibility of not giving your consent and the consequences of refusing.

4) How can you exercise your rights as a data subject?

5) How and for how long will your data be stored?

Your personal data collected by QuizPlay will be used and stored for the time necessary to provide the service or to achieve the purposes listed in this Privacy Policy, considering the rights of data subjects and controllers.

Generally, your data will be kept for as long as the relationship between you and QuizPlay lasts. Once the personal data storage period ends, it will be deleted from our databases or anonymized, except in cases legally provided for in Article 16 of the General Data Protection Law, namely:

I - compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation by the controller;
II - study by a research body, ensuring, whenever possible, the anonymization of personal data;
III - transfer to a third party, provided that the data processing requirements set forth in this Law are respected;
IV - exclusive use by the controller, access by third parties is prohibited, and provided that the data is anonymized.

That is, personal information about you that is essential for complying with legal, judicial, and administrative requirements and/or for exercising the right to defense in judicial and administrative proceedings will be retained, despite the deletion of other data.

The storage of data collected by QuizPlay reflects our commitment to the security and privacy of your data. We employ technical protection measures and solutions capable of guaranteeing the confidentiality, integrity, and inviolability of your data. Furthermore, we also have security measures appropriate to the risks and access control to the stored information.

6) What do we do to keep your data safe?

We apply these tools taking into account the nature of the personal data collected, the context and purpose of the processing, and the risks that any violations would generate for the rights and freedoms of the data subject whose data is collected and processed.

In the event of security incidents that may pose a significant risk or harm to you or any of our users, we will notify those affected and the National Data Protection Authority of the incident, in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Law.

7) Who might share your data with?

In order to protect your privacy, QuizPlay will not share your personal data with any third parties.

There are a few circumstances under which your data may be shared, which are:

I - Legal determination, request, requisition or court order, with competent judicial, administrative or governmental authorities.
II - In the case of corporate transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and incorporations, on an automatic basis.
III - Protection of QuizPlay's rights in any type of conflict, including those of a judicial nature.

QuizPlay uses cookies, which are text files sent by the platform to your computer and stored there, containing information related to your browsing activity on the site. In short, cookies are used to improve your user experience.
